Currently in its 25th season in national syndication, Emmy Award-winning talk show "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" continues the "LIVE" franchise's remarkable run as a morning favorite and one of television's outstanding success stories.

And now, 12 years after joining the program herself, co-host Kelly Ripa has welcomed legendary NFL star and sports broadcaster Michael Strahan as her permanent co-host, heading into a new era and taking the show to a whole new level.

"LIVE" originated more than twenty years ago with former host Regis Philbin and WABC's "The Morning Show"; it soon became the number one show in the market. Kathie Lee Gifford joined Philbin in June 1985 and in September 1988, the program debuted in national syndication and the title was changed to "Live with Regis & Kathie Lee." Ripa joined the show in 2001, and after Philbin's 2011 departure, successfully helmed "LIVE! with Kelly" with a series of guest co-hosts before Strahan signed on in September of 2012.

Early on, "LIVE" matched its local success with extraordinary national ratings and established itself as a dominant fixture in national television, a tradition that continues today. It remains an essential stop for the top names in the entertainment industry.
